New Pathology Locums Job in Louisiana Seeking 1-2 Weeks of Coverage per Month
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in Louisiana who needs Pathology locum tenens coverage beginning in late April/early May and ongoing. In addition to their general coverage need of one to two weeks each month, they also have specific dates needed in June and September for vacation coverage that they are prioritizing arranging coverage for in advance.
Coverage Need + Schedule:
Seeking 1-2 weeks per month starting late April/early May + ongoing
Willing to consider Monday at 8AM - Friday at 5PM coverage or Monday at 7AM - Monday at 7AM coverage
Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P in the lab; Night call from 5P - 8A during the week + weekend call starts Friday at 5P - Monday at 7A
Specific dates needed : June 30 - July 11 (call coverage only on July 4) + September 8 - 19
Details/Requirements for Assignment :
Active Louisiana license required (also open to IMLC candidates)
Active Board Certification in AP/CP Pathology and/or Anatomic Pathology
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm + night call from 5P-8A & weekend call on Friday at 5P - Monday at 8A
Daily case volume: 15-20 cases per day
Main duties to anticipate: on-site mainly for Frozen Sections, rapid FNA interpretations, and ROSE Procedures pulmonary and thyroid specimens.
Will be solo pathologist but the locums is supported by an on-site histotech who aids with frozens and FNAs
Specimen grossing and processing occurs off-site and the slide work is shared among a group of off-site pathologists as well as the one who is on-site.
Temp privileges will be granted if you have a clean background
Facility detail: 150 beds, with a large cancer center, EMR: EPIC
