Patent Prosecution Paralegal
Are you a detailed legal professional passionate about Intellectual Property (IP)? LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join our client's dynamic IP team. In this role, you'll be vital in managing and prosecuting a global patent portfolio, ensuring brand protection for our client s high-profile clientele.
This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days WFH, 2 days onsite) after the first six months. The client requires working onsite 4 days/week during the onboarding and training period. You'll assist with all aspects of domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution across various technologies and industries, including automobile manufacturers, auto supply chains, and medical devices.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for billing 1500 hours/year

Coordinate and file new domestic and foreign application filings (U.S. Non-Provisional and Provisional Applications, Track 1 Applications, Continuing Applications, Design Applications, U.S. National Stage Filings, PCT Filings, Convention Filings, etc.)

Conduct patent searches and maintain client portfolios

Prepare documents, including Notice to File Missing Parts, Foreign Signature Documents, U.S. Formal Documents, Responses to Office Actions, Issue Fee Transmittals, IDSs, etc.

Analyze USPTO & foreign counsel communication

Track due dates & manage docketing systems

Prepare client reports & prosecution documents, i.e., due diligence reports, the status of applications, reporting receipts for applications, publication notices, etc.

Communicate with USPTO, attorneys, & clients both foreign and domestic
Qualifications:
-
3+ years of recent US law firm IP experience working as a Patent Prosecution Paralegal (domestic and foreign)

Strong attention to detail & IP docketing software expertise

Professional knowledge of USPTO, PCT, and foreign rules and procedures, as well as IP docket and deadlines

Proficient with technology, MS Office Suite, Adobe, Legal Practice Management Software, iManage, Innovation, PATTSY

Excellent client service focus, communication, & organization

Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required

Salary Range: $60K - $110K, DOE
