POSITION SUMMARY Join our culinary team as a Pastry Cook II where you will play a vital role in creating exquisite desserts and pastries. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of baked goods in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensuring attention to detail for presentation and ingredient preparation including portioning, chopping, and safe storage.
- Utilizing baking and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhering to food safety handling policies and maintaining impeccable personal hygiene.
- Monitoring kitchen appliances and food temperatures to guarantee safety standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen by washing and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
- Setting up and breaking down your workstation while complying with sanitation procedures.
- Regularly checking food quality and serving portions throughout your shift.
Additionally, you will:
- Follow all company policies and procedures, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions.
- Present yourself in a clean and professional uniform, ensuring confidentiality and protecting company assets.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with team members and guests.
- Comply with quality standards and expectations.
- Assist with the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds.
- Be prepared to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Less than 1-year related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None required.
