The role of Pastoral Manager is vital and will contribute to our hardworking and forward-thinking pastoral and welfare support team. The successful candidate will play a significant part in ensuring BBEC continues to improve sustainably and at an accelerated pace.

We seek someone with an aptitude for working professionally with students and teachers, modeling positive behaviors. The successful candidate will support the development of the school's culture and ethos, working alongside senior colleagues, Heads of Year, and other Pastoral Managers to promote excellent behavior and attitudes.

Behaviour and Attitudes Team

Our comprehensive team of senior staff oversees the Behaviour and Attitudes to Learning. The Senior Deputy Headteacher has overarching responsibility for student behavior and attitudes. The team shares responsibility for maintaining safe and well-behaved students.

The large pastoral management team, overseen by the Lead Pastoral Manager, includes dedicated non-teaching pastoral managers for each year group and Heads of Year, supporting pastoral care and behavior management. The successful candidate will respond appropriately and swiftly to daily behavior issues.

Alongside the pastoral team, BBEC has a welfare team including Child Protection and Safeguarding specialists. There are five dedicated welfare staff ensuring students' happiness and safety at all times.

We offer provisions and interventions such as our Behaviour Support Unit and onsite alternative provisions, Connect (KS3) and Bridge (KS4), to support students with social and emotional difficulties.
