The Night Auditor reviews the daily guest ledger of the hotel and verifies financial balances. Also acts as a Front Desk clerk during night hours, including checking guests in or out, taking reservations by phone, and providing services to guests.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate front desk cash drawers, room sales, and accurate folio transactions
Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
Issue room key and escort instructions
Transmit telephone messages
Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests
Make and confirm reservations
Post charges such as room, sundry items, fax or copy
Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations, and arrange for tours
Deposit guests' valuables in safe deposit box
Answer telephone calls promptly and politely in accordance with hotel policies
Restock work area - maintain neat and organized work area
Deliver supplies to guests as needed
Review data regarding room status, income and expenditures
Prepare computer generated reports as required
Verify journal and ledger entries of cash, check and credit card payments
Transmit daily credit card batches to bank
Prepare checkout folios for daily departures with credit card payments
This shift will be 16-24 hours a week. From the hours of 11pm-7am. Must be 21 to apply. Weekend availability required.
