Position Summary
This position will supervise the daily operations of the parts inventory picking and shipping team, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment while maintaining high service standards. The Assistant Manager will oversee team performance, implement operational improvements, and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and management to support business and customer needs.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the parts picking and shipping team to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Monitor team performance, providing training, feedback, and corrective action as needed.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory management and shipping processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze order and shipping data to drive operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members to meet operational standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, as needed.
- Collaborate with the Parts Operations Manager to address challenges and optimize processes.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Five years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS); SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and problem-solving.
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds and work on feet for extended periods.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is preferred but not required.
