This position involves working in a Diesel Shop Environment. What you need to excel as a Customer Service Specialist at XPO: - Minimum of 2 years in customer service.
- Proficient in computer skills, notably Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including days and occasional weekends or after-hours.
Preferred qualifications include: - Experience in the transportation sector.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance shops.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the point of contact between shop management, external vendors, and category management.
- Manage data entries related to shop costs and supplies using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Communicate with vendors regarding approved repairs, shipping parts, purchase order creation, and invoice closing.
- Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts, maintaining stock levels, processing core refunds, and managing returned parts credits.
- Supervise work orders to ensure proper parts check-out.
- Monitor compliance through various reports.
- Create and finalize purchase orders and Pro numbers for shipment tracking.
- Prepare invoices for payment and collaborate with Accounts Payable for timely processing.
- Assist shop staff with additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand and move safely in both shop and office settings for extended periods.
- Capability to handle occasional loud noise levels.
- Frequent movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs., occasionally exceeding 75 lbs.
- Flexibility to reach, bend, climb, and perform other physical tasks as necessary.
- Certification training will be provided for operating a forklift to manage large parts pallets.
