Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50
Duties and Responsibilities: You must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with leadership.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Cashier Responsibilities: - Process customer purchases and keep the store clean and organized.
- Provide outstanding customer service to enhance shopping experiences.
- Report feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management.
- Assist in taking inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
- Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
Stocker Responsibilities: - Stock shelves and ensure product freshness by rotating stock.
- Adhere to merchandising guidelines for optimal product presentation.
- Organize new inventory and manage packing materials efficiently.
- Operate machinery safely and according to guidelines.
Physical Demands: - Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
- Stockers must be able to handle products weighing up to 45 pounds and reach various heights for stocking.
Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness to company standards.
- Interpret and apply company policies effectively.
- Possess excellent verbal communication skills.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Manage time effectively.
- Understand products and services we offer.
- Cashiers: Efficiently operate a cash register.
- Cashiers: Comply with regulations for handling alcoholic beverages.
- Stockers: Safely operate equipment like electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
- Stockers: Must be available to work morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
