HERE This position is Essential and is required to report to duty before, during, and immediately after a civil emergency. Entry level recreational work in monitoring and supervising designated recreation program(s) and instructing in a variety of recreational activities. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City. May work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

- Keeps the mission, vision and values of the City of Port St. Lucie at the forefront of decision making and action; builds strategic and collaborative relationships and interacts with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provides excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintains high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations.
- Accepts payments and processes receipts for programs and facility rentals.
- Monitors and oversees assigned recreational programs such as: special events, athletic leagues, center activities and programs, dances, takes registrations for programs and provides customer service.
- Maintains equipment and facilities by performing manual labor, painting and semi-skilled work.
- Maintains Facility grounds, by performing litter control, pressure cleaning around the building and other manual labor tasks.
- Performs litter control functions inside and outside of the facility. Cleans restrooms, and general janitorial functions.
- Performs general housekeeping of floors and carpets.
- Sets up chairs and tables for meetings and clears area after meetings.
- Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma is required. Some recreation experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Florida Driver's License and maintenance of clean driving record may be required.
CPR/AED is required within 270 days of hire.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and temperatures.
