Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50
Key Responsibilities: You will be required to perform your duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work closely with teammates and share important information with your direct leader.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of documents and data in your area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Cashier Duties: - Assist customers by processing purchases and performing cleaning duties.
- Stock shelves and ensure displays are well-organized to enhance the shopping experience.
- Provide valuable feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy.
- Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses.
Stocker Duties: - Efficiently stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness.
- Adhere to merchandising guidelines for attractive displays.
- Organize new deliveries and properly dispose of empty boxes.
- Safely operate machinery and follow all safety protocols.
Physical Requirements: - Regularly engage in sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and lifting.
- Stockers should be able to handle merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.
Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness to meet company standards.
- Understand and apply company policies and procedures.
- Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Effectively manage your time.
- Have knowledge of company products and services.
For Cashiers: - Familiarity with operating a cash register efficiently.
- Compliance with state and local laws for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
For Stockers: - Ability to safely operate equipment like electric/manual hand jacks and scrubbers.
- Availability for morning shifts, starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in retail is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
