Principal Responsibilities:

The JCC is looking for a part-time administrator to support the infrastructure of the rapidly growing Department of Inclusion and Support Services. This department is responsible for creating accessible programs and providing support for individuals with disabilities and their families as well as steering agency culture around creating a sense of community belonging.

This is a 20 hour per week, overtime non-exempt position supervised by the Director of Inclusion and Diversity. This position supports the administrative and operational needs of the department. Flexible hours may be available. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administrative needs of the individuals and services supported by our agency-wide inclusion programs
    • Manage client intake process
    • Schedule meetings
    • Onboard independent contractors, student interns and volunteers
    • Schedule support services
  • Effectively use various agency software platforms to:
    • Communicate information across departments and with the community
    • Support registration processes and fundraising efforts
    • Maintain confidential participant records
  • Respond to community inquiries and relay department programs and impact
  • Prepare, create and manage equipment, supplies and materials to meet program and accessibility needs
  • Track Certificates of Insurance and proof of Worker's Compensation for independent contractors, vendors and interns
  • Track professional development maintenance cycles for employees providing adaptive program instruction
  • Attend department meetings, programs and events
  • Represent the values of the JCC and the department in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • All other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required; knowledge in special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, behavior analysis, social work or early intervention preferred
  • Experience working, volunteering or caring for individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member and accept guidance and feedback
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Flexible and effective at multi-tasking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Physical Requirements:
  • Moving throughout the facility and uneven outdoor spaces
  • Sit stationary working at a computer for several hours a day
  • Lift up to 15 pounds
