Job Summary
The downtown Parking Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of municipal parking operations, facilities, and programs in the downtown Temple area. Provides administrative and technical support to enhance parking operations and develops long term plans and strategies for parking inventories and traffic regulations. This position is required to drive to various City locations for parking oversight and meetings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees downtown parking operations including garages, on street parking, parking lots and permitted parking
  • Manages functions of parking enforcement initiatives, parking-related permits, garage & equipment maintenance, and technology
  • Develops and executes operational strategic goals/programs including research, administration and maintenance while promoting customer service and community engagement
  • Maintains safety initiatives promoting loss control measures and ensures claims are reported timely and accurately
  • Leads, supervises, develops, and schedules parking staff
  • Collaborates with City staff and downtown stakeholders to identify immediate permitting needs related to residential units and garage use agreements
  • Collaborates and communicates with City departments and parking related partners regarding parking related strategies
  • Organizes, maintains, and reconciles various financial records, both manually and through automated methods
  • Assists in accounting procedures, preparing reports, and statements
  • Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience with parking lot/garage operations, metered/timed parking, or related role
  • Two (2) year of experience in a management role
  • Knowledge of budgetary elements and processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree in Business Administration or related field
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) - preferred
