Park Services Manager

Location: Moffat Manor Holiday Park, Beattock

Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week

What we need in a nutshell

We need someone to oversee all maintenance and security matters, ensuring the park remains in excellent condition and visually appealing; repairing, maintaining, renewing, and improving everything from entrance signage to the back fence.

What you will be doing

As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will manage the Maintenance team to ensure everything is in good working order. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the maintenance & grounds team.
  • Monitoring landscaping standards.
  • Assigning maintenance tasks across the park, from replacing light bulbs to troubleshooting locks and cutting keys.
  • Ensuring park Health & Safety compliance.
  • Providing security coverage during on-call duties.
  • Driving projects to completion with enthusiasm.
  • Handling any other tasks that require practical skills and initiative.

Guests and staff will depend on you to fix issues and restore order. You should be confident, friendly, and proactive, with strong practical skills.

Note: Holidays may occur during peak times, including bank holidays, evenings, and weekends, when your presence may be required.

Skills, experience, and qualities you'll need

We will provide training, but the following skills and experience are essential:

  • Experience managing trades and general assistance teams.
  • Background in property maintenance, construction, or facilities management.
  • Understanding of budgets, P&L, purchasing, and ordering systems.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
  • Good educational standard, ideally GCSE or equivalent.
  • Valid driving license.

Additionally, you should be proactive, possess excellent people skills, demonstrate enthusiasm, and uphold high standards of craftsmanship.
