Ro Health is looking for Paraeducators to provide support for in-school ABA and general classroom support cases in the Long Island Area . We are looking for providers who have experience working with children with behavioral challenges and providing services for kiddos ages 3 and older.

This position would be 5 days a week M-F (30-35 hrs/week). This position would involve working in close proximity to the teacher and providing behavioral support to students when applicable.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Provide support for students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities

Assist teachers and behavior specialists with the implementation of student IEP plans by creating a positive learning environment

Managing tantrums and outbursts of students

Mobility support - Ensure student safety around the school campus

Toileting/Diapering for students

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Reliable Transportation and Communication

A current and active criminal background check

National Sex Offender Registry Check

All appropriate credentials as identified by the District (a minimum of forty-eight (48) college credits from an accredited college or university or each candidate has passed the state paraprofessional exam)

Preferred Skills:

Previous ABA experience

Professional experience working with kids

Associates Degree preferred

CPR Certified - we will provide assistance in acquiring CPR certification if needed

Salary: $18-$22
