Job Summary
Paraprofessional Classified Substitute positions include: Instructional Assistant Special Ed I, II, and III, Literacy Technician, English Learner Technician, Classroom Aide, and After-School Program Assistant.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid California Driver's License
DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Clearance (upon offer of employment)
Paraprofessional Certificate OR unofficial transcript with 48+ college units completed

Paraprofessional Testing:
The paraprofessional test is offered through HCOE and can be reserved and paid for online. Here is a link to the booking system: . The test is proctored weekly on Tuesdays at 10:00 and the cost of the test is $7.00. If you have any questions, please call HCOE directly at
