Major Duties:
- This series covers positions managing, supervising, leading, and/or performing administrative and management work. As a Paralegal Specialist you may:
- Provide analyses, interpretations, and opinions to assigned Department of Energy (DOE) offices on a variety of cases and issues.
- Represent DOE in meetings with peers and management officials.
- Serve under direction of supervisor or senior attorneys on important intra-agency and interagency task forces.
- Perform legal research and provide recommendations based on the legal principles involved.
- Review and comment on legislation, rulemaking, and regulatory activities of DOE or other agencies.
- Draft legal policies and procedures for use in the DOE.
Requirements:
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above. This position is announced under a government-wide Direct Hire Authority (DHA) for Paralegal Specialist positions in the GS- 0950 series. Under this Direct-Hire authority, applicants are required to meet minimum qualification requirements at the grade level(s) of interest.
