POSITION SUMMARY:
Blank Rome's Cincinnati office is in need of an Executive Paralegal / Professional Assistant to support the Cincinnati Managing Partner and other attorneys in the Mass Torts & Complex Disputes group in delivering the highest level of service to internal and external clients alike. As a contributing team member, the Executive Paralegal / Professional Assistant is proactive in balancing multiple work demands, taking personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of their work and maintaining client and firm confidentiality. The Executive Paralegal / Professional Assistant maintains a professional demeanor and focus and seeks to maximize team contribution and minimize disruptions to the workday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Paralegal Functions:
Assist with document retrieval, review, organization, and production.
Cite check, edit legal documents, and manage all documents and materials relevant to legal proceedings in various courts.
Conduct legal and factual research including electronic research.
Prepare legal documents for e-Filing and filing via PACER.
Prepare for and attend trials in various state and federal courts.
Maintain confidentiality of client information.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.
Professional Assistant Functions:
Create, edit, format and proofread documents.
Communicate to and on behalf of the attorneys using firm technology.
Prepare new client matter request packets and coordinate approval; coordinate conflict search processes; and prepare retainer letters.
Enter, track, and coordinate new client/matter information.
Maintain electronic and paper files in accordance with firm guidelines.
Maintain and monitor attorney calendars.
Coordinate and/or book travel arrangements.
Prepare, track, and maintain attorney expenses in Chrome River.
Organize and coordinate conference calls and client meetings.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
SPECIFICATIONS:
A. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree
7+ years of legal experience, a paralegal certification or equivalent work experience required.
Notary Public a plus.
Experience with Commercial Litigation or Mass Torts preferred.
Experience with document review and document production experience preferred.
Ability to collect and research data.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective organizational skills.
Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Unquestioned integrity and professionalism.
Ability to draft correspondence.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Chrome River, InterAction, and Carpe Diem.
Proficient in web-based conference call/web-sharing applications.
