Description: The Contractor shall provide all services required to perform the tasks related to the support of the USAO fact witness management process by providing a variety of assistance to USAO Victim-Witness personnel, Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs), legal assistants, administrative staff, and other USAO personnel. These services will include, without limitation:
- Provide witness management assistance prior to, during, and after trial. Typical assignments include working directly with fact witnesses and providing assistance and support to ensure witnesses' appearance at court hearings and trials.
- Field phone calls, questions and other inquiries from fact witnesses seeking information pertaining to court appearances and expense reimbursement.
- Initiate contact with fact witnesses to notify them of the date and time of court appearances, coordinate travel arrangements, and determine any special circumstances or needs of the fact witness (e.g., special authorizations, international witnesses, military/federal employee witnesses, or hostile witnesses).
- Use judgment to determine when AUSA should be notified of special circumstances or needs of fact witnesses. When appropriate, confer with AUSA concerning such special needs and special circumstances.
- Make necessary arrangements for fact witness travel and lodging according to Department of Justice and USAO policies and procedures. Complete and submit proper documentation for special authorizations and obtain prior approval before proceeding with travel arrangements.
- Prior to fact witness's appearance, ensure all travel documents and information regarding court appearance date/time have been provided to witness.
- Meet with fact witnesses upon arrival to court, offer and perform courtroom orientation, accompany witness to court, ensure a safe waiting area is available, and collect necessary documentation and signatures for fact witness reimbursement documents.
- Prepare and submit documentation for fact witness reimbursement, i.e., witness vouchers and other required documentation for fact witnesses. Furnish requested information concerning pending and completed fact witness vouchers when USAO staff or fact witnesses inquire.
- Assist USAO Cardholder to reconcile the Government Travel Account by gathering required documentation.
- Obtain information, confer, and coordinate with the Court, Probation, Pretrial, U.S. Marshals Service, investigative agencies, and other counterparts, when necessary, to complete assigned tasks associated with fact witness management.
- Perform general office procedures pertaining to fact witness management, including, but not limited to: establish and maintain a variety of fact witness files, documents and databases; assemble documents and other information for fact witness file material and retention in accordance with established procedures and Department of Justice regulations; track hearings, trial dates, grand jury and scheduling conferences; perform other administrative and logistical fact witness management related duties as required/assigned.
4.0 KEY PERSONNEL QUALIFICAITONSThe Contractor shall provide qualified personnel who have sufficient experience, education, training, and skills to satisfactorily perform the requirements of this Statement of Work. Contractor personnel assigned in performance of this contract shall demonstrate acceptable personal/professional conduct, sufficient technical knowledge in the tasks assigned, and adequate experience performing similar work. The personnel should also have U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a background investigation.

Position Requirements - High School Diploma; some college preferred
- 3-5 working in a legal setting and/or fact witness management
- Excellent verbal and oral writtn skills
- Good communication skills
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time
Compensation Range $20 - $25 per hour plus $4.98 per hour to offset cost of benefits. Eleven paid holidays, PTO, Sick, 401K with up to 3% match
