Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial activities.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage and organize case files, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Translate documents and communications for Chinese-speaking clients (if speaks Chinese - big plus for paralegal)
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support litigation cases.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating logistics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on civil litigation. Personal injury experiences is also desirable.
  • Preferred - Fluency in Chinese, both written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
