Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complaints, interview parties, gather data, and review relevant documents to determine the validity of claims.
- Research consumer protection laws, regulations, and relevant case law to support legal strategies.
- Organized and maintained legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, exhibits, and other evidence.
- Prepare correspondence, legal documents, and other materials, such as confirmation letters and contracts.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and schedule meetings or interviews.
- Manage court filings and deadlines, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Coordinate and maintain electronic and physical filing systems for litigation matters.
- Assist with case planning, development, and management, including tracking deadlines and preparing for court proceedings.
- Help lawyers during trials, depositions and hearings by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing transcripts.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Leverage technology to streamline workflows, manage calendars, and optimize operational efficiency.
- File exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the appropriate court, government agency, or opposing counsel.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm focused on civil litigation.
- Familiarity with federal court procedures and legal filing systems is a must.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in legal technology and software, such as case management systems, e-filing platforms, and document management tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Advanced skills in Adobe
Soft Skills:
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive problem-solver who anticipates needs and acts independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish;
- Experience managing individual client relationships.
