Summary:
Immigration Paralegal: Legal knowledge of immigration-related laws and can make reasoned decisions. A client-service attitude with excellent case management skills. Possess the knowledge of procedural requirements for different types of non-immigrants, and immigrant visas. Participate in all aspects of our Immigration practice, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing non-immigrant petitions.

Responsibilities
- Assisting attorney with determining case strategy; managing large volume of clients and tracking status of filings and documentation needed; gathering relevant documentation from clients; reviewing extensive case documentation received; assisting attorney with legal research; assembling and organizing filings with the government; drafting legal correspondence to the government and clients for attorney review; preparing appropriate forms for government agencies.
- Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency.
- Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases.
- Oversee the status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems. Run reports.
- Follow internal intake procedures after a client retains our firm.
- Make regular updates to our case management system including client information, case tracking information, and client communications.
- Maintain hard copy files and documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients.
- Ensure that clients are kept informed about the progress of their cases.
- Assist attorneys and other team members to manage the caseload.
- Complete assignments and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisors.
- Collect client information and draft forms related to the PERM recruitment process.
- Collect client information and draft forms related to the adjustment of status (green card) process.

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of Immigration Law experience;
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Experience with Case Management;
- Strong writing ability;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to efficiently and correctly generate high quality work for attorney and clients;
- Ability to multitask and quickly move from assignment to assignment depending on workload and deadlines;
- Ability to continually manage multiple deadlines across numerous projects;
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and team oriented environment;
- Must have immigration experience and strong computer skills;
- Required to work independently and a problem solver;
- Ability to handle urgent matters quickly and efficiently; and
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
