My client is a law firm based in New York City. They are hiring paralegals to support their attorneys spread throughout the United States. You will be assigned a specific state and work with other paralegals in that state.
This is a hybrid role, in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, while remote Monday and Friday. Their office is located in Lower Manhattan.
You must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Summary:
The Paralegal will perform administrative tasks and services to support the attorneys, group manager, and the clients to whom they are assigned. The primary focus for this role includes case management, and client communication.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assisting the firm's attorneys in managing a high volume of litigation matters.
- Drafting pleadings, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, etc., as needed.
- Communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Being familiar with each state's rules and regulations as assigned.
- Administrative responsibilities such as client intake, organizing, and record keeping.
- Assigning new cases to attorneys with proper notations and attachments on file.
- Communicating with clients regarding the status of their matters.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- 1 year of civil litigation experience (e.g., drafting pleadings and legal research)
- Associate's degree or related field and/or similar experience
- Paralegal certification is a plus
