We are seeking a reliable, bi-lingual (Spanish) Paralegal with a minimum of 2-5 years of personal injury experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Review medical records and billing statements
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
  • Provide legal counsel on a wide range of issues
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and case law
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Perform legal research, draft motions, complaints, pleadings, and other litigation documents as necessary
  • Prepare for, take and defend depositions
  • Attend State and Federal court hearings as required
  • Assist Lead Attorney with maintenance of heavy case load ensuring all cases move forward in a timely manner and within deadlines
  • Provide excellent service to all clients
  • Prepare for a Second Chair Trials
  • Scheduling expert depositions
  • Represent clients in personal injury accidents; auto, slip & fall, motorcycle, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability and insurance disputes.
  • Investigate and prepare claim demands to insurance companies in multiple states
  • Negotiate and settle disputes with insurance companies in multiple states
  • Prepare and file civil lawsuits on behalf of clients
  • Serve as the liaison between Partners and Pre-Litigation Department to ensure consistency and uniformity

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation Law, Personal Injury Law
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Experience with legal drafting and document review
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience:

  • CRM - CasePeer: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CRM - FileVine: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Personal Injury Law: 2 years (Required)
  • Discovery: 1 year (Required)
  • File Complaints: 1 year (Required)
  • Propounding Discovery: 1 year (Required)
