We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a nationally respected corporation supporting a Legal & Compliance Department. This is an excellent opportunity to support a Senior Attorney in a diverse range of responsibilities, focusing on legislative, administrative hearing/disciplinary, and enforcement matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong paralegal or legal support background, ideally with experience in administrative rule-making or legislative support.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Attorney with legislative and regulatory research, analysis, and monitoring.
  • Support the preparation and filing of annual charitable registration filings.
  • Draft and prepare affidavits and other legal documents for upcoming hearings.
  • Manage and organize documents and exhibits for administrative hearings and disciplinary proceedings.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of Letters of Engagement (LOE) and basic contract templates.
  • Provide general paralegal support to attorneys within the department.
  • Interact professionally and represent the Legal & Compliance Department effectively with internal executives and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize emotional intelligence to navigate interactions and de-escalate complaints as needed, although this is not a primary function of the role.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal files and records.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or experience supporting attorneys
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in administrative rule-making or legislative support.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
