Position Description:

Rockpoint Legal Funding is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Specialist to support the EVP of Legal and assist in managing and executing on litigation, transactional, regulatory and administrative matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal who is looking to bring their law firm or corporate experience in-house and take on a meaningful, high-impact role within a growing legal department.

In this position, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department, working closely with the EVP of Legal and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong drafting skills, legal research capabilities, and an understanding of litigation, compliance, and contract work are essential. High ethical standards and sound judgment are a must.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, revision, and finalization of contracts and agreements.
  • Assist with subpoena review and response preparation, coordinate document production and discovery efforts, track case status, and assist in responses to subpoenas and legal requests.
  • Supporting Rockpoints Servicing & Collections operaitons.
  • Assist in monitoring federal, state, and local legal developments that impact business operations; help maintain regulatory calendars and compliance checklists.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings with state and federal agencies.
  • Assist with drafting, updating, and organizing company policies, procedures, and training materials to support legal compliance.
  • Help prepare and maintain accurate corporate records, board resolutions, meeting minutes, and entity filings.
  • Assist in internal audits, due diligence efforts, and legal reviews related to contracts, settlements, and funding operations.
  • Help create and distribute compliance and legal training resources to internal teams.
  • Maintain organized and searchable digital files for contracts, litigation matters, and legal opinions using internal systems.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to collect required information, resolve document gaps, and move legal processes forward.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of paralegal or legal operations experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with general litigation matters (personal injury preferred but not required), contract review, regulatory filings, and compliance documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or legal studies background preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information.
  • Sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal research tools; experience with contract management or case management software is a plus.

Compensation:

$95,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually
