Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Entertainment Paralegal to support their legal and business affairs team. The ideal candidate will assist with reviewing and drafting contracts, handling production-related clearances, managing copyright filings, and providing general legal support. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and experience in entertainment law are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Review, annotate, and provide feedback on various agreements and documents
- Support production-related tasks and manage necessary clearances
- Manage the creation and upkeep of corporate entities
- Draft legal agreements and official correspondence
- Assist with drafting and processing endorsement and influencer release forms
- Conduct research on issues related to the WGA, DGA, and SAG
- Handle copyright matters and WGA-related filings
- Familiarity with motion picture and television rights
- Experience with production releases (e.g., appearance, attachment, location, materials), vendor contracts, and development agreements
- Background in both scripted and unscripted television production
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in entertainment law, business affairs, or as a paralegal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to independently prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet varying deadlines
