Job description
Full-service business law firm seeks full-time Paralegal for its Estates and Trust practice. This position works closely with attorneys and clients on complex estate and trust matters.
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive practice support and case management
- Organize and electronically file documents in various courts and jurisdictions
- Draft and finalize estate tax returns
- Draft and proofread correspondence, notices, documents and forms (ie. wills, POA, etc).
- Conduct research, as needed
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries and financial institutions
- Review bank statements and maintain accountings
- Notarize documents, as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate experience (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred)
- Accounting experience (preferred)
- The ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow
- Superior organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GEMS and Lawgic
- Experience e-filing documents
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and client service skills
Salary
- $60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience + eligible for annual bonus (based on performance and production)
