Palo Alto Security Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a remote Security Engineer for an opportunity based out of the Louisville, KY area. The Palo Alto Firewall Security Engineer is responsible for managing Palo Alto Networks firewall solutions to secure the organization's network infrastructure and ensure optimal security and compliance with industry standards. This role involves leveraging IPS components, vulnerability analysis, and other tasks related to operational support for Palo Alto Firewalls. The engineer continuously monitors network traffic for potential security threats and vulnerabilities, diagnosing and resolving firewall-related issues to maintain network integrity and performance. Collaboration with other IT professionals is essential to integrate firewall solutions with other security measures and technologies. The engineer also maintains detailed documentation of firewall configurations, policies, and procedures, conducts regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks, and provides training and support to team members and end-users on firewall functionalities and best practices.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience managing and implementing firewall policies

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related fields

Experience working within ticket systems Palo Alto (PCNSA, PCSFE, PCNSE, PCSAE)

Racing or gaming experience null
