Description:
WE BUILD PREMIUM ALUMINUM TRAILERS BECAUSE LEGENDS ARE MEANT TO LAST.
This position will work within teams to prepare steel frames and components and paint them.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Following health and safety rules
- Wear personal protective equipment
- Read and correctly interpret work orders
- Verify prior department's work has been completed satisfactorily according to specs
- Prep the trailer by removing rust and slag with a wire brush
- Apply aquacron to all areas which paint will be applied
- Effectively mix paint and zylene per specifications
- Ensure correct respirator fitting prior to beginning to paint, clean and store after use
- Paint the trailer and components per Paint MIL thickness check sheet specifications
- Allow the paint to cure within the paint booth prior to removing the trailer
- Store tools and materials in proper locations when not in use
- Maintain clean shop floor between units and at the end of shift
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Use various power and hand tools, experience preferred
- Read and use a tape measure
- Willingness to cross-train between departments
- Read and follow work instructions
- Able to work 40 - 60 hours a week. Schedule is 6am-430pm with a half hour lunch, Monday - Thursday and overtime as needed on Friday.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Good attendance is required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting.
- Must be able to move up to 75 pounds at times.
