Seeking a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pain Management Team in Beloit, Wisconsin and Roscoe, Illinois. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician.

  • Develop skills and strategies necessary to optimize the health of patients in pain and to support the elimination of the major public health problem of incomplete assessment, treatment, and reassessment of pain and to decrease the burden of chronic pain as a major public health problem.
  • Analyze and overcome barriers to the management of acute, chronic, and cancer pain conditions, including reducing disparities in access to quality pain care across the healthcare continuum, and reducing unintentional consequences (misuse, abuse, and diversion issues) related to the use of opioid analgesics in the treatment of chronic pain.
  • Develop skills and strategies necessary to optimize the health of patients in pain and to support the elimination of the major public health problem of incomplete assessment, treatment, and reassessment of pain and to decrease the burden of chronic pain as a major public health problem.
  • Implement optimal clinical assessment and risk management strategies, evidence-based treatment protocols, and a patient-centered approach to improve the treatment of patients of all ages with various pain conditions. Including the development of guidelines and protocols.
  • Apply evidence-based integrative and interventional pain techniques to reduce costs, improve efficacy, and leverage outcome-tracking tools.

Requirements:


  • Master s degree in Nursing with a specialization or experience in Pain Management a plus
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice or Adult Medicine.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Experience in performing minor medical procedures.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must maintain a current medical license and DEA license
  • 2-3 years of experience as an advanced practice provider is preferred
  • Experience in pain management or orthopedics is preferred
  • Ability to travel to offsite locations as needed
