This position is part time. Primarily Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Job Specific Requirements: The Oyster Shucker is a Kitchen Role with a Front of House location; you must be comfortable interacting with guests regularly and working alongside servers, bartenders, runners to make a successful shift.
Role and Responsibilities - Set up and stocking oyster bar with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. prepping sauces, inventory oysters, updating oyster board list)
- Shuck oysters and clams cleanly and quickly; prioritize the quality of the product
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
- Maintain a sanitary and clean work station
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Run oysters to guest's tables when necessary to ensure ticket time standards
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements: - Some shucking experience is preferred, but not required
- Must have weekend availability
- Some line cook or prep cook experience is valuable, but not required
- Teamwork mentality
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Ability to multitask, quickly yet thoroughly
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Have reliable means of transportation
- Have the ability to lift and carry 10-55 lbs.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Familiar with industry's best practices

Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary.
