Job Overview:

This Overnight Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all store operations during shifts without a senior manager present. You will ensure high productivity, exceptional service, and effective communication with the management team regarding store improvements and opportunities. You may also assist the management team with fuel offers when applicable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an outstanding customer service experience by promptly addressing inquiries and gathering customer feedback.
  • Ensure seamless communication and efficiency between associates, customers, and their orders, focusing on food service and beverage effectiveness.
  • Implement safety, security, and quality protocols, demonstrating knowledge of Wawa's Crisis Management when necessary.
  • Guide, motivate, and mentor associates to achieve their best performance during shifts.
  • Manage inventory levels for food service items based on daily needs.
  • Identify potential growth areas within food service and beverage, sharing insights with the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Recognize and celebrate the achievements of associates.
  • Adhere to cash handling and accountability processes while completing managerial tasks at the register.
  • Ensure proper check-in procedures for vendors following corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and functionality in the store and equipment.

  • Physical ability to perform various tasks including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 35 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to the store's technology systems.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Available to work 35 - 40 hours weekly.
  • Flexible availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior experience in leading, developing, and training teams preferred.
  • Background in training, sales, and management of food service quality.
  • Experience with implementing change and achieving results in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with all store operations, especially in food service.
  • Demonstrated skills in exceptional customer service and effective communication.
