Job Summary:

The Overnight Team Leader is responsible for the smooth operation of the store during overnight shifts when senior management is not present. This role includes ensuring high productivity, quality service, and addressing any store concerns that may arise.

Principal Duties:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries and feedback.
  • Ensure seamless communication and workflow among associates, customers, and orders.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and operational policies while demonstrating crisis management knowledge when necessary.
  • Provide motivation, guidance, and coaching to associates during shifts.
  • Manage stock levels for food service items according to the needs of the day.
  • Communicate growth opportunities within the food service and beverage areas.
  • Recognize and celebrate associate achievements.
  • Oversee cash handling processes and manager functions at the register.
  • Facilitate the check-in of vendors according to corporate policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of store equipment and ensure facility conditions meet company standards.
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • A self-starter with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in building relationships and displaying leadership.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform various tasks throughout the shift.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Reliability in transportation to work.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and direct others effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Availability to work 35 - 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Experience in training, expense management, and food service planning.
  • Proven ability to implement change and achieve results.
  • Leadership experience in retail, food service, or fuel environments is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of store operations, especially in food service.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, relationship building, and effective communication.
