Candidates must be detail-oriented and reliable professionals with experience in METRC (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting and Compliance) to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining compliance and accuracy in cannabis inventory tracking systems.
As the Overnight Metrc Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our cannabis inventory tracking system across all company retail locations. Working independently during overnight hours, you will be responsible for conducting thorough daily audits in Metrc to ensure compliance with state and local regulations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of Metrc protocols, and the ability to work autonomously.
Responsibilities: - Must be reliable with excellent attendance and on time for every shift.
- Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy within METRC.
- Collaborate with store METRC managers to verify compliance and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee and audit METRC processes to ensure all entries and activities adhere to state and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to store staff on METRC procedures and best practices.
- Maintain organized records of all METRC activities and prepare compliance reports as needed.
- Identify and address potential issues proactively to ensure seamless operations.
- Ability to travel to various facilities providing compliance and regulatory support.
- Conduct daily overnight audits of Metrc inventory records for all 22 company retail locations.
- Verify the accuracy of inventory counts, transfers, sales, and disposals within the Metrc system.
- Identify and investigate any discrepancies or inconsistencies found during audits, escalating issues to the Compliance Manager as needed.
- Ensure all Metrc tags are properly applied, tracked, and reconciled.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all applicable state and local cannabis regulations related to inventory tracking and reporting.
- Document all audit findings and actions taken in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with store-level staff and the Compliance team to resolve Metrc-related issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Operate a personal vehicle to travel between the 22 retail locations.
- Maintain accurate mileage logs for reimbursement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure Metrc compliance across the organization
Requirements & Knowledge: - Strong understanding of cannabis compliance regulations and inventory control processes.
- 2 years MINIMUM Metrc experience
- MUST have Meadow pos knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of California cannabis regulations, specifically those related to inventory control.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially during overnight hours.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Valid California driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check as required by state regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with Weedmaps
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, store managers, and regulatory bodies.

Job Type: Full-time, 8-hour shift, Night shift
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
