Total Fire Protection is looking for an experienced and driven individual to join our team as a Fire Protection Service Sales & Inspection representative. This role is focused on driving sales for service contracts and solutions related to fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems. You will work with clients in various industries such as schools, hotels, resorts, warehouses, industrial centers, and residential high-rises. Additional duties include inspecting of fire sprinkler systems in residential, industrial, and commercial buildings. Sprinkler systems installed may include overhead systems, standpipes, and underground supplies. Sprinkler piping may be plastic, steel, or cast iron. Day to day activities include, but are not limited to, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods of time, reaching and working above head level, walking, maneuvering and lifting up to 100lbs, and the use of various hand tools and construction lifts. Fire Sprinkler Inspectors are also responsible for operating company vehicles, delegating tasks to their helpers, reading and following blueprints, staying on schedule, maintaining progress reports, and communicating with municipalities, other trades, and customers. Knowledge of NFPA codes is required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Bidding: Develop and submit service proposals for fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, alarms, extinguishers, and kitchen hoods.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, offering tailored fire protection services that meet their needs.
  • Market Focus: Target local markets as well as other opportunities, particularly in sectors such as hospitals, education, industrial, and residential.
  • Service Knowledge: Provide expertise in fire protection systems and offer clients solutions for system maintenance, inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Field Work: Perform site assessments and walk-throughs to evaluate the condition of fire protection systems and provide accurate recommendations and proposals.
  • System Knowledge: Strong understanding of various fire protection systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, fire alarms, extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales, service, or installation of fire protection systems. NICET 2 and/or state certification required.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, kitchen hoods) and industry standards.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using computers and tablets for quoting, scheduling, and documenting services.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and contractors.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 per year, plus quarterly commission

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 8-hour shift
