About the Opportunity:
Ready to launch your sales career in a technical, high-demand industry? We're hiring a driven, self-starting Sales Representative to cover a well-established territory in Northern Ohio. You'll be helping manufacturers, hospitals, food processing facilities, and other industrial clients find the compressed air parts and service solutions they need to stay up and running.
This isn't a "sit at your desk" kind of job. You'll be out in the field, meeting new people, solving problems, and building real relationships. We want someone who can hustle, learn quickly, and camp out in their territory - this is about owning your region and growing it. We provide the training, support, and tools - you bring the work ethic and drive.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage a 13-county sales territory throughout Northern and Northwest Ohio
- Spend 4 days a week in the field - one day from home for planning/admin
- Meet customers face-to-face, cold call into new accounts, follow up regularly
- Handle a sales cycle that typically runs a few months
- Learn and use our CRM system to track leads, opportunities, and follow-ups
- Collaborate with a team of experienced sales reps and technical support
- Build trust in a territory by being present, consistent, and knowledgeable
- Develop relationships in industries like food processing, steel, and healthcare
What We're Looking For:
- Strong work ethic - someone who will work beyond the 8-5 if needed
- Experience in or exposure to industrial settings preferred (internships or summer work counts.)
- Comfortable with cold calling and rejection - you see "no" as "not yet"
- Solid organizational skills - can plan routes, schedule appointments, and follow up
- Resident of the sales territory (Toledo area or within covered counties)
- Able to travel daily and stay overnight in your region at least once a week
- Comfortable working independently - manager is 3 hours away
- Excellent communication skills - personable, confident, and professional
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $60,000-$65,000
- Commission: Based on monthly shipments - earnings of $150K-$200K+ are realistic once established
- Bonuses: Performance-based
- Vehicle Program: We reimburse based on vehicle type - newer vehicles receive higher reimbursement
- Training: We'll teach the technical side - just bring the attitude and energy
