A Day in the Life of the Outside Sales Representative
You'll hit the ground running with your existing contacts while continuing to grow your network across the San Antonio, Austin, and Rio Grande Valley regions. Your day will involve connecting with clients, identifying freight needs, and offering personalized shipping solutions that keep goods moving across Texas and the border. You'll be backed by an experienced internal team that ensures smooth delivery and happy customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of clients in the freight and shipping industry
- Leverage your existing book of business to generate new revenue
- Prospect and close new deals in the San Antonio and/or Austin markets
- Offer customized freight solutions to meet customer logistics needs
- Coordinate with operations to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction
- Track sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer communication
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of experience in freight, shipping, or logistics sales
- Strong client network and active book of business in San Antonio or Austin
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Highly self-motivated and able to manage your sales efforts independently
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
