The Ready Mix Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for sales in the assigned territory, selling, and giving technical ready-mix help to customers in the Stockton, CA and Modesto, CA areas. This position works directly with our dispatch team to help improve communications between the customer and dispatch and helps grow existing and prospective customers to increase market share and improve profit margins.

Position Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • The Ready-Mix Sales Representative is responsible for all sales and sales-related activities in the assigned territory.
  • This position represents the company with significant contractors, federal, state, and local government agencies, and industry associations involved in regulating, specifying, or purchasing construction materials.
  • Strengthen customer relationships. This position will grow and maintain all assigned accounts relative to sales volume, market share, product distribution, and customer service objectives.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential ready-mix customers.
  • Gather information from prospective customers to identify their needs.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans for sales territories to target and acquire new accounts.
  • Provide technical information about the ready mix, equipment, additives, and services to potential customers or dealers.
  • Proven customer service, public speaking, and presentation skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Capable of working in a high-production environment responding quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
  • Attendance and attention to detail are essential to this position. This position will e ffectively manage and prioritize their schedule.
  • Understanding of batch plant operations, batch controls, dispatch, and plant production systems.
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with others. Expected and accountable for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Experience and Education:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent
  • 3 plus years of experience in outside construction sales.
  • 1 plus years of experience in the ready mix or aggregate industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel. Solid knowledge of Command software
Wage Compensation:

$90,000-$125,000/Annual Salary D.O.E.
