2 x Sales Representatives for a leading Construction Machinery & Heavy Equipment Dealer

Pacific Northwest - Kent WA or Portland OR based


Our partner is a privately held leader in the provision of top-of-the-line construction & general-purpose equipment in the Pacific Northwest. Comprised of six branch locations; that provides sales, rental and aftermarket support for a full line of general production, road machinery, aggregate processing, compact equipment and specialty machines from leading manufacturers (Volvo Construction Equipment, Metso Minerals, Tymco, GOMACO, Entyre) and a dealer of specialty attachments (Furukawa, Genesis, Volvo, ESCO and Epiroc), this $140MUSD company is on the grow and seeking an experienced Sales Representative with experience selling heavy equipment/ machines in both Kent Washington and Portland Oregon.


What You Will Do:

Based in either Kent WA or Portland OR, you will be responsible for heavy-duty equipment sales in either region and will sell a full line-up of heavy machinery covering general production, aggregate processing, road, and utility equipment from well-known companies and leading attachment suppliers. A hunter by nature, with prior successful sales experience selling heavy equipment (construction, mining, aggregate, or agriculture), you are ambitious and hardworking - and seeking a professional opportunity to grow.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage an assigned territory and / or customer base to maximize the Company's presence of equipment rentals and purchases.
  • Sell, rent and lease new and used Volvo and complementary equipment
  • Quote and negotiate prices, deliver contracts and close orders.
  • Grow and develop relationships and customer loyalty to increase market share, total revenue and gross profit.
  • Work with customers and potential customers to provide solutions to their equipment needs. Provides on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support.
  • Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special promotions. Keeps accurate and up to date information in the Company's sales tracking system and controls sales expenses.

What You Bring to The Party:

Knowledge, Experience and Know How:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction equipment sales, preferred, but experience in a related equipment sector will be considered.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent equipment sales experience may be substituted or combines with education.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and manage strong customer relationships with area construction contractors, equipment owners, and rental customers.
  • Experience representing major heavy equipment brands, including a full equipment line and products that complement earth moving equipment customers.
  • Familiarization with equipment delivery, service, repair, and parts operations.
  • Able to work well under pressure or within work standards and deadlines.
  • Able to travel, generally within the territory.
  • Strong computer capabilities, including Microsoft Office, CRM, and business software is required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
