Title: Outside Sales Representative (Fuel Management Consultant)

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Boise, ID

Salary: $65K - $75K



SCOPE:


The Fuel Management Consultant (FMC) is responsible for executing sales, and sales management efforts according to a defined corporate marketing strategy designed to grow the companies commercial fleet fueling business. This is a sales-oriented position requiring developed personal communication and social skills. The sales environment will be both inside by phone, and outbound sales. This is a salary position plus commission with an annual compensation target of $120K at plan, with no cap on earnings.


SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES


  • Promote, sell, and secure fleet card business with integrity using a relationship-based approach
  • Prospecting, canvasing, and a high volume of calls/phone setting appointments that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets for both volume and GP
  • Communicate Christensen's fleet card offering to existing and potential customers and assist them in selecting the best suited option for their needs
  • Present solutions in a professional, concise and comprehensive manor
  • Manage ongoing customer relations when needed
  • Quote pricing, prepare sales proposals and sales presentations
  • Conduct GoToMeeting training sessions
  • Embrace product knowledge training and be able to educate the customers and prospects on our features and benefits
  • Stay educated on our competition's capabilities and cards offerings, as it constantly evolves
  • Prospect and develop strategic alliances and partnerships with customers
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects by engaging in the following:
  • Conduct phone calls to prospective customers
  • Maintain call log, appointments, and closes in CRM which must be updated daily
  • Conduct follow up calls to prospective customers who have received marketing material
  • Manage active sales process follow up through to closing of sale
  • Monitor post-sales follow up to ensure customer uses the card
  • Keeps abreast of marketing conditions, competitive advantages, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with operations and technical service areas
  • Attend and participate in weekly Fleet Card huddles in person or via Teams
  • Attend and participate in monthly sales meetings (location TBD)
  • Attend and participate in industry sales training as directed by management
  • Represent Christensen Inc. at various trades shows, conventions, and community events

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS


  • 6+ years professional sales experience required
  • Experience selling B2B in a high activity sales environment
  • Fuel industry experience preferred
  • Possess aptitude for problem solving and decision making
  • Must be results-driven
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel within assigned region using own transportation

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of times, talk, and hear.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, with the ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
