Outside Sales Rep - Allentown, PA


ISC's team of Manufacturing Recruiters is partnering with a medium-size, global Chemical company to identify a driven and innovative Outside Sales Rep. They are located about 50 miles from Philadelphia city center.


The Outside Sales Rep will be responsible for retaining and growing sales revenue, building and maintaining strong relationships, becoming a product expert, and collaborating cross-departmentally. 70% retaining old accounts and 30% new business.

Outside Sales Rep Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • 4+ years of outside sales experience
  • Super resourceful, innovative, curious, and likes to work with their hands
  • Assertive, driven, proactive, positive, ambitious, open-minded, sense of humor, loves to travel
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Very tech savvy
  • Able to travel approximately 8-10 overnights per month - (Territory NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE)

Outside Sales Rep Responsibilities:

  • Become a product expert in order to demonstrate the necessary knowledge on usage, properties, and attributes
  • Take full responsibility for retaining and growing sales revenue and profits at assigned accounts
  • Call on new and existing customers in person and remotely to offer support and consultations
  • Demonstrate products at customer locations
  • Identify new target customers and sales opportunities
  • Collaborate internally to develop and execute sales plans
  • Execute winning tradeshow marketing strategies - plan, organize, and participate in industry trade shows and events
  • Plan and coordinate travel itineraries, prepare and submit expense reports
  • Take an active interest in building the workflows and processes for managing customer relationships, tracking sales activities, and reporting on performance
  • Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and eliminating hazards
  • Develop a sense of accountability, and must be open to allow employees ideas to be heard, while setting a positive example
