Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities through strategic field prospecting across Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada (75% travel required)
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout your multi-state territory
- Conduct effective presentations and demonstrations of premium capital equipment across state lines
- Manage complex sales cycles (typically 6-9 months) for capital equipment ranging from $150K-$350K
- Travel extensively between Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and New Mexico to build your territory
- Collaborate with technical team members to provide comprehensive solutions to customer challenges
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and product demonstrations across the western region
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales forecasts across all four states
- Create strategic plans to penetrate new markets and increase territory performance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (business or marketing preferred)
- 2-5 years of sales experience, ideally in a field sales or technical sales role
- Hunger and drive to succeed-this is the requirement from our client
- Ability and willingness to travel 75% of the time across multiple states (mix of car and plane travel)
- Comfort with extensive overnight travel covering Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently across a vast territory
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
- Strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Residence within 1.5 hours of Denver International Airport or major Colorado airport
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling capital equipment, machinery, or other high-value products
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English)
- Experience in food processing or related manufacturing industries
- Demonstrated record of exceeding sales targets
- Comfort with multi-state territory management
