POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Inside Sales/Project Manager oversees jobs and major projects to ensure customer satisfaction and budget control. This role provides after-sale project management support for projects sold by the General Manager, the Operations Manager, or the Sales Representative. This role also provides quoting support and generates new business.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Project Oversight

Main Activities:
  • Create project plans based on the customer's scope, budget, and site.
  • Order the required parts and components.
  • Monitor the project from the planning stage through to execution and completion.
  • Troubleshoot project issues and complications as they arise, putting processes in place to prevent the same issues from occurring again.
  • Communicate with the on-site team daily.
  • Make on-site visits to ensure Field Crew achieves planned milestones.
  • Communicate progress to customer.
  • Manage project budget, including cost of materials, labor hours, travel, and equipment rentals.
  • Other duties as required.
Generating Quotes

Main Activities:
  • Produces quotes from leads, technician follow ups, and direct contact with customers. In most cases this may require a site visit.
  • Seek review and approval from RGM for larger quotes (over $2,500).
  • Send quote to GM for review.
  • Follow up 3 - 5 times with customer if PO is not provided (quotes should be kept active for up to 6 months).
  • Other duties as required.
Safety Leadership

Main Activities:
  • Employ a safety-first mindset and contribute to a safe environment daily.
  • Fully participate in all required training sessions related to position.
  • Support and direct project crew on health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety training, policies, practices and procedures and consistently apply on the job to create a safe work environment.
  • Monitor work environment for hazards and maintain healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation.
  • Ensure employees engage in proper use of personal protective equipment and the maintenance of engineered controls (e.g. guards).
  • Take steps to rectify any potential hazards (e.g. faulty equipment) or potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in all workspaces.
  • Other duties as required.
TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post-secondary education in project management or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience leading projects in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Working knowledge of commercial and industrial boilers, and related equipment repairs and replacement.
  • Valid Driver's License to travel to customer sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
