Eliot is searching for an Outpatient Triage Specialist to support mental health and substance abuse clients to exercise autonomy in all aspects of their life. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to recovery-oriented services.
Our multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors and other professionals administer a full range of clinical and support services, resulting in a comprehensive collaborative approach to treatment.
Responsibilities:- Provide triage supports to individuals inquiring into services through Eliot Outpatient services.
- Provide intake coverage, including telephone screening, face-to-face evaluations, crisis intervention, resource and referral information for the outpatient clinic.
- Provide community-based supports to assigned individuals including short term supports to maintain community stability, crisis evaluations in the community and at on-site clinics.
- Provide side by side interventions to individuals that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, and community stability.
- Provide crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment
- Provide crisis intervention, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment services utilizing a variety of treatment modalities such as individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy as clinically indicated.
- Accept cases as assigned by the Clinic Director or designee and work collaboratively with the Clinic Director to ensure that clinical and productive standards are met.
- Participate in the development of treatment plans for each individual in which you are a member of their treatment team. Ensure that treatment goals are culturally competent, strength based, realistic, attainable and promote recovery.
Qualifications:- Requires a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Preferred to be licensed at the independent level in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Knowledge of the vast array of community resources and how to access them. Ability to triage multiple requests for supports and acute needs.
- Must have a strong commitment to recovery-oriented services.
- Must have skills to establish supportive relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for their preferences for treatment.
- Must have ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals in rehabilitation and treatment.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and effective, solution focused, problem solving skills. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with staff, co-workers and supervisor.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.
Salary: $57,000 annual salary. Salary increases annually.
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm
