Manage and treat a wide variety of health issues in adolescents, adults, and the elderly. This cover acute illness such as infections, influenza and pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Treats acute illnesses, infections, or injuries, as well as chronic diseases and disorders. Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluates treatments as necessary.
- Analyzes records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient.
- Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.
- Enters and records information in patient s medical record in timely manner. Maintains necessary and appropriate documentation for all services provided in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accrediting agencies.
- Directs the activities of office personnel engaged in rendering medical treatment to patients, as well as practice management functions.
- Contributes to the planning, coordination and adherence with hospital policies and departmental polices. Uses best efforts to ensure that all equipment is readily available, safe and functions appropriately.
- Insures on-call and after-hours coverage for practice
- Other related duties as assigned.
