About us: The Division of Agriculture Science and Natural Resources (DASNR) is dedicated to improving quality of life for the people of Oklahoma through science-based information and education. The Division is comprised of the Ferguson College of Agriculture and two state agencies: the Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. For more information, please visit: the Position: Provide POST-AWARD sponsored programs support of faculty and staff in the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (OSU Agriculture), including, but not limited to award processing and administration, regulatory compliance, and fiscal management. Review and analyze award documents.
Coordinate the fiscal and contractual administration of sponsored projects, including the determination of allowability of costs, the application of the appropriate regulations and policies, the documenting and reporting of cost share, and the calculation of earned and waived F&A costs.
Coordinate, negotiate, establish, and monitor sub agreements under prime externally sponsored projects, including oversight of allowability of invoiced Subaward charges.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to sponsored programs administration - federal, state, and private. This includes OMB Uniform Guidance Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, & Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, FAR, and the State of Oklahoma purchasing policies. Maintain a thorough knowledge of University policies concerning sponsored programs, intellectual property, compliance, and other related issues. These regulations are revised frequently.
Work with project directors/ principal investigators to ensure that technical and progress reports are submitted in a timely manner. Assist Grants and Contracts Financial Administration with any financial reporting requests.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required: High School/GED

Four years of experience in Research Administration or another closely related field. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.Must be detail oriented and able to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects independently; have effective negotiating and decision-making skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work with diverse groups of individuals.

Proven time management and priority setting skills to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Commitment to acquiring knowledge and professional growth in area of specialty Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Highly thorough and dependable Exhibits a high level of accuracy, even under pressure Proficient problem-solving and computer skills Ability to clearly communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and commitment to quality

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field . Ten years previous experience in sponsored programs/research administration or closely related. Familiar with Banner accounting system and Cayuse grants management system. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.

Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Financial Research Administrator.
