Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Opening in IllinoisLocation: Quincy, IL St Louis 2hr; Kansas City 3hr; Springfield IL 1hr 45mFull-Time, Permanent PositionPosition Overview: Seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join their team and provide trauma and general orthopedic call coverage in Quincy, IL. This role focuses on managing acute orthopedic injuries presenting through the Emergency Department, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality, timely surgical care and follow-up.Practice/Position Highlights: Provide 24-hour call coverage, 7 days per week, with one night per week covered by colleagues Treat a range of trauma cases including falls, hunting, and motor vehicle/ATV/UTV accidents Perform general orthopedic procedures including hip fractures, hemiarthroplasties, and wrist/ankle fractures Average surgical volume: 2 cases/day on weekdays, 3 cases/weekend Handle hospital consults with a required response within 24 hours or sooner Trauma response expectations: - Level I trauma: 30-minute response - Level II trauma: as requested - All others: at physician s discretion Conduct post-call clinic follow-ups on Monday and Tuesday Block scheduling includes 10+ days off per month Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred but not required Able to work independently and manage diverse orthopedic trauma cases Committed to compassionate, efficient trauma care Compensation & Benefits: Base salary: $850,000 $930,000 Sign-on bonus Educational debt forgiveness loan, if applicable Relocation assistance Full benefits package available upon request About the Area: Quincy, IL is a family-friendly, riverfront community known for its affordability, excellent schools, and high quality of life.
