Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Coverage Needed:

• ASAP - ongoing
• Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with call
• Per Diem/sporadic coverage only, not full time

Clinical Details:

• Inpatient responsibilities include rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, and OR duties
• Clinical, Surgical, and Trauma/Orthopedic Call
• of Physicians: 4 Physicians as of July 2025 with Locum call coverage
• 7 Advanced Practice Providers
• Nursing Support/Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 nurse per provider, 3 cast techs per 7 providers
• Ancillary Staff per Provider: 3 receptionists/ 7 providers, 2 surgery schedulers/ 7 providers
• Services/Procedures offered in the practice: Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement; hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures; trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other disorders
• Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms per provider
• Medical Imaging, Lab, & Pharmacy available
• Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults, current average hospital daily census is 160 patients per day
• Appointment Length: 10-30 minutes depending on new consult, recheck, post-op, or procedure
• EMR: GE Centricity for clinic, EPIC for hospital
• Teaching Opportunity: Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency, PA student rotation

Requirements:

• Board Certified
• Clean Malpractice
• Active IA License or Active Compact/IMLC LOQ
• Will accept new grads
