Refers patients to appropriate physiciansElicits medical histories and performs physical examinations on patientsPerforms therapeutic, office surgical, diagnostic and laboratory procedures and radiologic examinations as indicated by common medical practice and as delegated by the supervising physicianInstructs and counsels patients regarding physical and mental health and patient educationAdministers and supplies properly packaged and labeled prescription drugs if it is in the best interest of the patientMaintains orderly and efficient business practices at the clinicsProvides supervision and direction to other clinic personnelAttends all mandatory meetings and programsThree to five years experience as a Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with emphasis in Orthopedics, is preferred but not requiredPALS, ACLS, NALS preferred, but not requiredHospital is a 99-bed hospital that provides a wide array of services, including inpatient general medical care, in-patient and out-patient mental health care, intensive care, obstetrics, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Ancillary services include laboratory; radiology examinations, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, bone densitometry and PET CT; wound care, infusion therapy and sleep studies. The hospital has four endoscopy suites with daVinci and Mako robotic surgery and a twelve station hemodialysis service. Hospital just opened a brand new freestanding cancer Center that provides a holistic approach to cancer care. The hospital operates a home health service, a hospice and is the county's public health nursing service provider.
