JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Under general supervision, receives, processes, and fills written or verbal orders for materials, supplies and merchandise. Handles orders that involve items routinely used as well as those which may require some judgment in choosing alternate items that stratifies requirements.
• Edits orders received for price and nomenclature.
• Determines availability of ordered items (from local stock or to be ordered) and may suggest substitutes when necessary.
• Informs customers of unit prices, shipping/delivery dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed.
• Maintains records of ordered items and customer information on data sheets or in the supply database.
• Furnishes customer with acknowledgment of receipt of order and confirm delivery location/destination.
• Checks shipping invoice against original order and updates records to reflect receipt, condition, and delivery specifics.
• Checks inventory control; notifies the Logistics department of orders that would deplete stock.
• Performs related tasks and duties as directed. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION The Tool Room Order Clerk II is responsible for managing, issuing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies within the tool crib on a military base. This position ensures that tools and equipment are readily available and in good working condition to support the operations and maintenance activities of military personnel. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of tool and equipment inventory.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure accountability.
• Order, receive, and stock tools, equipment, and supplies as needed. Tool Issuance and Return:
• Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to authorized personnel.
• Verify the condition of returned tools and equipment, and ensure they are properly stored.
• Report any lost, damaged, or malfunctioning tools to the supervisor. Maintenance and Repairs:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Coordinate and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working order. Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines related to tool and equipment handling.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the tool crib.
• Ensure compliance with military regulations and procedures. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of tool issuance, returns, and inventory levels.
• Prepare and submit reports on inventory status, tool usage, and any discrepancies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tool crib policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE The incumbent should be a high school graduate or equivalent and have four or more years of clerical experience, preferably in a supply, warehouse, or retail/wholesale working environment. Must be familiar with basic office equipment required for the position (i.e., PC, adding machine, typewriter, FAX, etc.). Must have typing skills, be familiar with the use of a personal computer, and experienced in entering data into a supply/materials computer database. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records. Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and their proper usage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Incumbent must have a valid, current state driver's license. Must obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $44,200 to $52,000 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance). Outdoor duties are required occasionally, with exposure to natural weather and greasy or oily working surfaces. Government vehicle is used on an as needed basis. Must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours, perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands, and work independently with minimal supervision. Conversely, employees should not allow other JT4 employees or employees of another employer to use JT4 owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval from the shop manager. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours to support military operations.
